In a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Simon Uchenna Ortuanya, the assurance package is also extended to all doctors in the State Ministry of Health and all other health workers. The Enugu state government has disclosed that it will soon post specialists and consultants to its district hospital to further improve health-care delivery in the state. This statement was made by the state’s commissioner for health, Dr. Ekochin Fintan after the inspection of some district hospitals in Enugu North-Senatorial Zone.
